Club 2.0

by Damien Glez
We hear a lot about Web 2.0 these days. It is neat, and sleak, and trendy like Wendy. But is the Web 2.0 just for computer-savy kids and tech-hipsters? NO WAY! Web 2.0 has resulted in incredible success stories. How? Because Web 2.0 is more than just digital tools of blogging, twitter, facebook. Web 2.0 is an ideology, a new culture that increases understanding, participation, and success.

Web 2.0 characteristics include:
  • all-accessible platforms
  • easy to use
  • light, brief, simple information
  • facilitates usage and participation
  • user friendly
  • ideas flow from the masses
  • easily transfered information
  • extends physical relationships to the online world
  • IN OUR HANDS
With these principles in mind, we are creating BYU Microfinance, club 2.0. Through the use of twitter, facebook, blogging, and other digital tools, BYU Microfinance welcomes feedback from members and the society. The tools used in this club can also improve current clubs, societies, and any group interested in focussing on the people.

Join us in service.
